Holidays and breaks for the disabled.

The issue for many people with serious physical disabilities is to find the right facilities combined with good accessibility of the holiday venue. The holiday must be affordable and worthwhile. The Cavendish Spencer Trust does not make any specific recommendations about organisations or places but does list some organisations (some charities, some not) which may be helpful in making choices about a holiday break. Our list is certainly not comprehensive and there are likely excellent sites we have omitted: the list will be further developed over time.

Many disease specific Charities (eg Motor Neuron Disease Association, Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, Multiple Sclerosis Society) have much useful information about holidays and travel issues including air travel, insurance, equipment, ventilators etc targeted at their particular client group. We have not listed these here.
