I had a wonderful holiday on the Summer Youth Party Week at Revitalise Jubilee Lodge.  It was so good to go to a centre with other young people with a physical disability such as my own as we all have a lot in common.  Also, because the holiday was for under 35’s, there were many people of my own age.

The staff and volunteers were really cheerful and helpful and, by the end of the week, they were just like friends.

There were many activities to do and trips to go on.  I particularly enjoyed the crazy golf trip and the volunteer who helped me made sure that I had the best possible time helping me in and out of my wheelchair.  The entertainment in the evenings was fantastic and gave me the opportunity to chat to all of the other guests and volunteers.  In particular the entertainer on the last night was brilliant.

By the end of the holiday I knew most of the other guests names and also those of the staff and volunteers.

The holiday gave me a wonderful break from having to look after myself.  Although I am in supported living I still have to help in all household chores, shopping for food and cooking.  All of that takes a long time.  It was lovely to have a rest from all of it and have everything done for me.

I would love to have the opportunity to go on another Revitalise holiday.

With very best wishes for helping to make this holiday possible.
